Savannah Event Catering was started in January 2008, by Chef Mark Scomo, with a 3 simple concepts:
Chef Mark started in the restaurant industry more than 21 years ago. With a background in fine dining, banqueting and sculpture, he has worked in nearly evry facet of the restaurant industry. His experience working in numerous country clubs and hotels along the east coast includes: Renault Winery, Boca Raton Resort and Club, Broken Sound Country Club and Boca West Country Club.
At Boca West Country Club, Mark spent 3 years as a Gardé Manger Chef making cold appetizers, ice sculptures, sushi, fruit and cheese platters for parties up to 2000 people. His experience in hot food ranges from Italian & French to Asian & Caribbean. He has designed and built 4 restaurants and has developed menus for more than 20 establishments.
